Awesome track, perfect for the start of summer.
New entry in the contest for most authentically ’80’s sounding song of new millennium.
Off the follow up EP to last year’s break out hit album “For Emma, Forever Ago”
Many critics top album of 2008, Fleet Foxes’ debut was a breath of fresh air with naturalist lyrics and harmonies that were reminiscent of artists like Crosby Stills Nash & Young. This was just officially released as a single, and their performance of it on SNL a few months back was an instant classic.
Remix of lead single from solo debut of Fever Ray, better known as Karin Dreijer Andersson, singer for the group The Knife. Fun reggae beat, much different from the original. Sounds a lot like a Santigold record, in a good way.
The new album was pretty disappointing and had me throwing the first album on. Forgot how much I loved this song. My favorite non-single from the album.
Best song of their self titled debut.
Awesome new track from The Horrors aka Mr. Peaches Geldof and company (I know, it’s low). It’s the final song on their new album Primary Colours, itself a triumph, which finds them reinvented as modern shoegazers with a style very similar to My Bloody Valentine et al. Clocking in at over 7 minutes, “Sea Within A Sea” is freaking epic… and an instant classic.
Gets stuck in my head more than any other song on the album.
